I used to be able to play copied DVDs with my laptop. All of a sudden the laptop does not recognize my copied DVDs anymore. Whenever I insert such a DVD, it's recognized as a blank CD, not even as a blank DVD. What can I do about it?
run a lenscleaner through the drive. In my experience once a drive starts having difficulty reading non-commercial discs it usually means the laser is wearing out. replacement of the drive is the recommended treatment.
