I recently bought a new barebones computer which had no fans or cooling (with the exception of the retail CPU fan) It shows the computer temperatures in BIOS and I have a quick question: What’s a suitable system and CPU temperature? My system runs at around 30C-40C and the CPU runs on average at around 47C. Is this too hot?

And yes, I bought 1 case fan so far, I'm planning on getting another 2 for the front within the week. I also have a hard drive cooler and a ram heat spreader. Also, does anybody know anything about the "exhaust systems" (It connects in a PCI slot and "sucks out the hot air deep within the system") Are those things worth it?

Thanks in advance.

My opinion: Save your money. Your system is ok like it is.

Take the side panel off the case. Whatever temp your cpu then runs at is going to be about equal to your temp if you got 6 more case fans. Chances are you'll find it not worth it to get anything beyond the one case fan you already have.

Well, what I'm planning to do now is get 2 more 80mm fans for the front (which are 3.49$ at compusa, so its not like I'm spending 200$ on cooling) and I have a hard drive cooler which I can tell a noticable increase in speed.
