I am contemplating a laptop cooler for my laptop but the design of my laptop leaves me with a question. The laptop has a six cell li-ion battery which makes the laptop sloped at an angle. All air vents are underneath the laptop. I want to get a cooler so I can use the laptop thruout the house without fear of the air ventilation getting cut off. Will the cooler still work even though the laptop is at an angle? The section of the laptop that gets hot the most is under the keyboard and it lays mostly flat.

Don't waste your money on laptop coolers. Your laptop sits on the cooler and because of the rubber legs, there is a gap betweeen the cooler and the bottom of the laptop. Most of the air that the cooler draws up and shoots at the bottom of the laptop dissapates through the gap. The only real way to get them working is to actually duct tape them to the laptop so the gap is closed... then and only then is the air from the cooler is forced up into the laptop.... pretty silly!
I have an HP laptop that I use for work and sometimes I'll do work in bed with the tv on and the laptop on my lap. To keep the vents from getting plugged, I have a stiff piece of card board with velcro on it... and of course matching velcro on the legs of the laptop... works great.

Whenever I feel like using a laptop on the carpet, on my lap or on rugs etc I just stick it on a big copy of guiness book of world records. So it ends up that book isnt completely useless.
