I bought an external USB hd for customer backup purposes and formatted as NTFS. I want to convert it to FAT32 because not all of my customers use an operating system that is NTFS compatible. I have tried 2 or 3 brands of partitioning software and none of them will work with an external usb hd. The administrative tools in Win2K won't accomplish this either. Any suggestions? It is probably something simple that I am overlooking to perform this. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,
The latest versons of Partition Magic can convert NTFS < > FAT32.
What software have you tried to use.
If the drive is only used for backups, surely you can simply copy the data to another hard dsik and then repartition the drive as FAT 32.

Okay, I had tried Partition Magic and Partition Commander with no luck. So I decided to just do it in windows breaking it up into 3 partitions and formatting FAT32 for each partition. I though that I could do the whole 80gig drive in FAT32 but I had forgotten that windows only allows 32gig partitions using FAT32. Forgetful me! Thanks for the replies.
