Comment:

i know this is unrelated to hardware at least not directly but the digital... forum doesnt get as many regulars.

i download a lot of movies with P2P (Shareaza), but they are beginning to show their footprint in my hard drive's space. is there any way to convert them to DVD format for a DVD player, so i can burn them then delete them off my hard drive? already tried Nero OEM (came with my DVD writer), it declares i need some other Nero product for conversion (naturally). and the DVD player wont read them if i burn them as data (long shot but it may have worked, obiously not though)

so my question is: how can i convert these DiVX encoded AVIs and plain MPGs to DVD and burn them as a DVD video so i can delete them off my computer??

thanx

I use this DVD player, it can play AVI MPEG DVD - almost ALL video types.

I just burn data disks (cd-r or DVD) with Nero, and it plays perfectly.

...and for $55, you cant beat the price.

That Nero product it says you need might be freely downloadable from their web site. Check it out.

Hi
converting divx to anything will reduce the quality of video , but if you must;

better to buy a divx dvd player.
