I just bought a new motherboard and was wondering which way the connectors go like the power switch, reset switch etc. On my friends pc the connectors had a positive and a negative side the ones in my tower just say what its for (like it says power switch on it)and it has a little s on a certain side with an arrow under it pointing at the s. What does the s stand for?

Dont know what the S stands for but as for the power and reset connectors it matter not one bit which way they are connected providing they are connected to the right pins. Polarity doesnt come into it.
The only time polarity matters is with the power and HDD LED. If they are wrong the relevant LEDs wont light so just reverese them.
