Sup guys I have these movies I had dl, and so I burnt the movie to a cd and I tried to watch it on my TV. I thought this would be a simple process and so I connected my laptop to my TV through s-video. I turned on the movie with windows media player and i can see the movie on my laptop but cant see it on the TV. I have 2 questions for you guys. 1) I thought that I had a s-video port on my laptop but looking at it closely it had 6 pin holes instead of 4. Everything else looks just like a s-video port but had 2 more pin holes on it. Is this a s-video port or something else? 2) If you want to connect your pc to TV is it as simple as connecting your s-video cable or do you need something called scan converter? Are there any simple way of connecting your pc to TV?

You need to set the TV as primary monitor, because sometimes only one screen can show the video. you can do this in the display driver control panel.

I believe Athlonman is correct. I don't think the s-video connector includes audio.

only if you have a s-video scart with stereo jacks it has audio. but if you only use teh s-video cable, just connect a sound cable from your pc line out jack and directly to the tv.

Summary: Adjust the resolution of your PC. It would appear the PC is putting out a hi-res signal that the TV can't handle. Read the TVs manual to see what resolutions it can handle and match your PC to that....
