Comment: Hello, I would like to connect my computer to my TV to play movies. My plan is to burn the movies I buy on DVDs onto the hard-drive of my computer. I'd then like to be able to connect my computer to my TV to watch the movies. QUESTIONS: Any advice on what format I should burn the movies onto my hard-drive in? Also any advice on how to connect my computer to my TV? I've read elsewhere the an S-video cable will do the trick for the video, but not the audio portion. Is that correct? What else would I need to do to make this work? One final note: My TV is approximately 40 feet away from my computer. Will I need any kind of signal booster? Thanks -Jay

Reply: (edit)Surely copying (not burning) films already on dvd onto your harddrive, will cause it to fill very quickly? I would have thought it would be better to play a film directly from the dvd. Good Luck - Keep us posted.

Reply: (edit)No doubt about it! Purchase a DVD player! Another tip. Buy a player that plays DIVX and XVID files.
