connect 3.5 hard drive to laptop via usb

Specs: Windows Vista
I want to remove 3.5 hard drive from my desktop
and connect it via usb to my laptop so that I can
use my antivirus software to clean 3.5 drive. How
do I do this?

It would be easier to install an antivurus and spyware to a usb jump drive and run it from the drive. Run it in Safe Mode.

Get 'ya one of these. I have the AMS Venus for IDE. I have a couple of them used for years. Work good.

If you're determined to do it by temporarily connecting it to your other machine, something like this would likely be your cheapest solution:
