Confused about mobo memory terminology

I am relatively new to making computers and i was looking at this motherboard:
it has four ram slots
under details and memory it said, "DDR3 1800(OC)/1333/1066
* To reach DDR3 1800MHz or above, you must install two memory modules and install them in the DDR3_3 and DDR3_4 memory sockets."
i got a little confused and i dont really know what it means

It's pretty self explanatory. OC = OverClock. If you want overclock your RAM to DDR3-1800MHz (900MHz frequency) or higher, you can only use 2 sticks & they MUST be installed in slots 3 & 4.

I'm sure if you were to download/read the manual, it would be explained further.
