Configuration Error

Hi dears!
I have some problem in my computer .
Whenever i start my computer i receive a configuration error message and my bios automatically fix it when i selet the option to automatically fix the error and after that when i enter in the windows my clock is set to 12 am. and the year set to 1980.
What is the reason and tell me the solution about it

It would help a lot if we had the exact error message. But I suspect that you have a bad motherboard battery.

That means it's time to replace your CMOS battery. Normally, CMOS battery last 7 years or so, and when it dies out, the information in the BIOS will not be saved so its normal for your time to stay at 1980 12:00AM. Until you replace it with a new battery, it doesn't matter what you do with it, you still get the same result.

I had the same thing happen after Y2K with my now-dead Pentium 1. But, it didn't keep getting reset.
