Computor won't start up.

Specs: Windows Vista
When I start the computor, it shuts down at aprox 5secs. It then continually repeats this. No monitor or any thing.

try booting in safe mode (press F8 on boot) and then disable "Automatic Restart" when logged onto the computer.

It could probably be a bad motherboard or power supply. Also try reseating the RAM modules into different slots

WARNING: Don't open the computer case up until you ground yourself to prevent static electricity from damaging the components inside. Also make sure that the computer is turned off and unplugged to avoid electrocution.

THX for the advice. I have tried a different power supply but I've yet to try the RAM. I'll let you know.
