Hey,
I have a HP Paviliion 720n Desktop Computer. I live in Canada. I may live in England for a year. I was wondering if my computer will work over there, as I here some things are different for electronics. Will it?

Depends on the power supply. The electrics in England is 240V 50Hz. Most powere supplies have a little switch at the back to switch betwenn 110v and 240v. Some power supplies will auto detect the voltage and adjust themselves automatically. Check the specs for your power supply.
Your computer may work, but if it's a desktop, you might be better off getting a laptop, that is, if you have to pay the shipping to a fro

Even if you buy a laptop, you are still going to have to get a charger that is desinged for a 240v supply and they do not normally have a changeover switch.
240V laptop chargers may not be generally available in Canada.

Most laptops are auto sensing as to voltage.
If you look at the adapter it usually says 110 ~ 240 volts meaning it will run on both.
Today seems like a good day to chew through the restraints.
