If you do not get anything on the screen and do not get the initial beep, your system is dead. Possible reasons are defective motherboard or CPU.

If you are getting the beeps, and assuming that the cards and RAM are seated properly try checking your cable for missing or damaged pins.

If you have any other adapters installed, remove them leaving the video adapter in and see if you get a live screen.

If you do, the other devices are conflicting with your video adapter.

If you don't it is likely a motherboard issue.

Hi

It is on-board graphics, so removed all cards and tried still would not work. disabled graphics and used card still did not work.

I can hear the hard drives boot up and see the cd starting, but nothing from the computer, beginning to think that the motherboard is knackered.

Any help would be gratefully recieved before i toss out the mobo???

Thanks

Columbo
