Computer won't power up

I recently installed a new motherboard (N2828) to my Dell 4600 because the Dell tech spec told me over the phone that my motherboard was bad. Now I cannot get the computer to power up. I have the power light on on the motherboard but I can't even open my CD drive. I'm sure I hooked everything up properly. Before I bring this in to a computer shop, can someone help out?

Have you ever changed out a motherboard before? Are you sure the power supply is OK?
You can avoid many of these Windows problems with Linux. Linspire eases the transition for new users

2Y832, N2828 and F4491.
These are the 3 motherboard part I.D.s for your computer.
Did Dell send you the same motherboard you originally had?
I am just thinking all three are compatable, but maybe some plug-in connection is slightly different.

Thanks for the replies. I've beenout of town and I just got back. It looks like it was my power supply afterall. Looks like Dell got me for the price of a new motherboard when I really didn't need one!
