How did u know both PSU's are ok? Sounds like motherboard problem.
"what to test next?" take cpu, ram, v-card & other cards, hdd, optical drive, them out and test them in another compatible system.

hi kuwese

took both PSU's out and shorted the PS_ON pin to common - used a digital voltmeter to test apprporiate 3.3 V 5 V abd 12 V pins. got apprporiate voltage results.

both of these units have not been used for a couple of years - but brought them out when my home computer came up with the blue screen of death due to a hard drive problem. (which I had to format and reinstall windows to recover use of) thought that I would start one of these other units to run some dedicated tasks (magicjack,/com/security) and use tthe dialy for internet browsing etc.

will try taking out the parts one by one. just dont know why the motherboard would fail without use in the closet

. . . thanks
