I have a problem with my computer is a p4 window xp and a asrock GE PRO-M2 motherboard and i bought this computer last year. When I click on my computer it says that is detecting all the hardrive and cd drivers but it says it can't detect any so i open up my computer and see if i plug in the things correctly but is all correct then later i figure out a option come up that says if I want the bios to default so i click yes then it ask me for the password to my motherboard.I didn't even put a password on it so my question is how do I figure out the password without finding out who put it and if theres other solution to fixing my computer....thx

I would just reset the cmos on the mobo. Either by jumper or removing and replacing the battery. If your drives still don't detect make sure the jumpers on the drive are set correctly. Otherwise you may have a bad ide controller

I tried the removing battery and it still doesn't detect any thing but I m not sure if this will help but it goes detecting and nothing comes up after like 1 minute and then it goes into the next screen saying something that it can't detect any thing "searching for boot record from SCSI..NOT Found"
"Boot Failure
Insert Boot diskette in A:
Press any key when ready"

You should really try to use some punctuation, it would make your posts much easier to read and interpret. People might be more likely to respond.

Slow down and punctuate, as it is so easy to get wrong meaning and give you the wrong advice and gurus might just pass you buy for lack of understanding what your problem is....
Reset the defaults on the bios first of all, and let it try again to detect the drives.
It sounds like you did something but not that. Go into bios choose reset to optimal default settings, press F10 and it should come back. If it doesn't it may be something as simple as the battery is shot, which would be odd after a year and 1/2, but this is not a top notch motherboard either.

On my Western Digital drive, I had to make sure the jumper was set right. I had single, Dual (master), Dual (slave) and cable select. I had to use the Dual(master) because I had another drive that was slave.

Rich, I know that hard drives are different but it is a little hard to understand what Ken is trying to say. So I wasn't sure if he put another drive in or if it was the one that came with the system and since he doesn't state what the name of the drive is, I used my Western Digital as a reference in case he has one.
