my keyboard cannot be found on bootup in windows or bios. I press control alt delete to login and nothing happens..usb mouse works. I swapped usb keyboard cable to the working mouse input, and nothing. Any usb port the mouse is plugged into works fine, but keyboard nothing. I tried 3 different new keboards.

Have you tried an old keyboard that has the purple plug on the end? More than likely one of those keyboards will work. If you don't have one, you are sure to find one on Ebay for a cheap price. This one I belive is actually a Gateway Keyboard with the old plug on it:

If you don't want to bid:

If 3 different USB Keyboards did not work even in BIOS you will probably need to get one of the 6 prong keyboards.
