Computer turns on then off

So I've been building a computer and having no luck getting anything to work. First I kept getting a BSOD right before Windows XP booted, but it wasn't my hard drive since I put that harddrive in another computer and it booted just fine. Then that computer just powered down all on its own and whenever I try to boot it, it turns on and shuts off. In an effort to get some kind of data off my hard drives, I put that power supply in my other computer (The one that would BSOD on boot) and it would turn on then off then on and off (etc.) Thinking it was the power supply, I went and got another one and it still does the same thing. I turn on the power supply and it runs through the same sequence. I don't even attatch the power switch to the motherboard. Any suggestions?
