computer turns on but only fans wor

CPU/Ram: amd athlon xp 2000+ 512mb

When I turn on my computer no lights are on nothing shows up on the monitor and only the fans work and there is no beeping.I thought it was my mobo so I got a new one and new memory and installed it in the same case and it did the samething.If you have any idea what it could be please tell me.THANKS

check your cable connections. if the fan works then its not the power supply. i think!

check first all your connection. if does doesn't work! we think of something!

Make sure your new motherboard is not grounding out.

Did you test it before you put it in the case?

Most likely the power supply as Cobra_R said

If you can't fix it, blow it up and deny that you saw anything.

Disconnect everything except 1 ram, cpu, and video card. If it still does not power up, it's 99% chance of power supply

I had that same problem once and it was because the cpu was not seated properly on the mobo. It can also happen if any other board is not seated properly.
