Hewlett-packard Hp pavilion dv7-1426nr 1...
August 6, 2011 at 00:39:35
Specs: vista, unknown
computer shuts down, won't boot, hear fans and nothing else.
I was told by a tech to take out battery (laptop) hold down the start button for 40 seconds then try and start again. on occasion this will work.
Then I Get a message computer shut down wrong and asks how I want to restart.
The computer will work for a month or so. Then start all this again.
I try the same things over and over. It's getting close for a trip out the window.

If I let it set for weeks it may turn on and work for a day a week a month?
The MB has been replaced. Fans, Cleaned out.
I have no clue what it could be, I'm still new. I run Vista and it's an HP.
It doesn't always shut down, times it just won't boot.
No pic, no beeps, lights on Keyboard work and fans sound for seconds then it's quiet.
at times after a few minutes it will boot. (10-20)

are u sure ur cpu is not overheating, check temps in bios if u can get there.(try resetting the normal setup defaults)
also think about checking that laptops battery it might be dying or melted from that heat.
run a malware scan using malwarebytes.
that motherboard change was uncessesaryby changing that and not placing the hardware correctly u might have cause more damage.

computers are a second home
