Computer turns off by itself

Why could my computer be turning off by itself. No rhyme or reason- sometimes it goes days, sometimes many times a day. To get it to turn back on, I have to actually unplug from the computer, then plug back in. Any ideas?

Could be a power supply problem...could be overheating. Have you made any changes recently?

you might be getting hacked? or have a virus or trojin running. cleaned the dust out of the inside of the case lately?

i have the same problem and i have formatted and but a new hrd drive in it and its still turns itself off any ideas

i dunno. i just put new MB in and now if i turn on, within 10 or 15 seconds of turning on it turns off and so i thought not enough power so i unplugged 2 cd drives, extra hd, and took out 2 pci cards and still turns off, i dont know what to do, i cant even get to load up windows. i need mucho help please too.
