While working in windows computer suddenly flashes a blue screen and then shuts down. I had read on here a long time ago that windows xp does that when it encounters an error but I just don't remember how to disable that feature so it doesn't keep shutting down on me.

JB, To stop windows restarting itself when you get a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) you need to go Right click properties of "My computer" on the desktop and click on the "Advanced" Tab then you will find a "settings" button for Startup and Recovery this will allow you to un check the box that says "Automatically Restart" witch will stop windows restarting on every BSOD error.
