it is probably that your windows version does not include your sound card drivers and you need to reinstal the sound card drivers

You need to know either the make/model of your system, or the make/model of your motherboard, or the make/model of your sound card, then you can search for the drivers. I'd search them out for you but ??? doesn't give me much to go on.

Download the stand alone version of SIW.exe and use it to find out what hardware you have. Then you can download the drivers for that hardware.

Most likely you have a motherboard with integrated sound. That means the sound drivers can be found on the motherboard manufacturer's website. You need the model of your motherboard.

start.... control panel ....system... hardware... device manager.. look for the yellow ! mark. Right click and choose update driver. Say yes to let computer look for you on the internet....(windows updates)

You can work for your computer or let your computer do the work for you.

Yes? No?

If no then yes you need to do some work for your system
