Hi, my work computer which is almost 4 years old has had a lot of work go through it. Being in a photo store it is on 7 days a week and we do touch ups etc on Adobe Photoshop and constantly save large size photo images...and it almost used constantly for 8 hours in the day. Recently a virus hit it so we had to clear the HDD and re-ghost it so it was like day 1 (however still using the same HDD from 4 years ago).

The computer appears to be getting slower. Is there anything I can do to speed it up (ps. It has a lot of RAM - 1GB I believe). Or do computers die after a while requiring me to get a new one. (I'd prefer to keep thi same one and speed it up if possible)

Curious why you couldn't just wipe the virus??

How old is this re-ghosted image? From 4 yrs ago?
