computer slow, found timeout error msgs in EV

Specs: Windows 7 64bit pro, intel dual core 2.5ghz, 4gb ddr3
This computer i am fixing is running slow. Found a bunch of error and warning messages in Event Viewer. These warnings show there is a timeout and the source being avgntflt and event id 18. The error messages show 30000 milliseconds timeout occur on a number of different services.

I thought Antivir Antivirus the problem since avgntflt relates to it. So removed it. Installed AVG Antivirus, and the computer then become slow again. So removed AVG, and still slow.

Did fresh install of windows 7 64bit pro. checked event viewer first thing once it booted and i see already a timeout error and couple warnings.

So i thinking is a hard drive issue, ran test hard disk from hiren boot cd, it passed, ran disk manufacturer diagnostics WD. It passed also.

Not sure where to go from here, any ideas ?

I think i found the problem. after several hours testing hardware, which all passed, i tried swapping out hardware. Then i came to the HD, i cloned contents of it onto another HD, and booted from that. The freezing has stopped now, it runs smoothly.

I dunno why all the HD tests i did, didnt pick up a fault on the HD.
