The computer shuts down after a few seconds. The light on the board lights up and the fans are spinning but there are no beeps but i heard some light clicking sounds. It wont even load bios. Could this be a CPU overheating issue?

If you have a correctly installed CPU heatsink - heat cannot be an issue after a few seconds.
Does this always occur at the same moment? I had a PowerSupplyUnit, which could short-circuit anytime between 1 second and 10 hours into operation. A faulty PSU can for example be checked by connecting the monitor power to the PSU - not the wallsocket. If monitor dies when computer does - you could have problemes with PSU. Well, thatīs my two cents.

Well, the P4s don`t overheat so much that they couldn`t even load the bios. Maybe there is some CPU-Overheating or fun protection working which shuts down the pc. Also you can try to clear your BIOS or check if the mobo CHIPSET (the largest visible chip on the mobo - probably without fan) heats up so you can hardly hold your hand on it! If so, your mobo has a prob.
