It does it when you least expect it. the system will just suddenly reset without warning. what could be causing this? ive tried a different pwr supply so thats not it, its not overheating although it could have a bad thermostat. ive reinstalled windows so i don't think its a hardware conflict. what else could it be? all my periferials are onboard so its not a bad pci device. can it be a bad chipset? i wouldn't think a fried chip would let the computer even start up. does anybody else know?
"ive reinstalled windows so i don't think its a hardware conflict." That means that it probably is a hardware conflict if you're still experiencing problems after reinstalling windows. Did you check the cpu temps in the bios ? Also run a check of the ram using memetest.
