Computer Shuts Off On Its Own

January 25, 2016 at 04:21:17
Specs: Windows 7
My computer shuts off byitself what can the problem be? I hear 2 clicks when it shuts down. And i get no warning or bluescreen, it can happen on the internet as well as in games. Iv been told it can be my power supply, but if it was that why can I turn it on again? The computer can shut down randomly after 3h or just after 10 minutes

" Iv been told it can be my power supply"
Could be, could be a lot of things.

Here is some basic maintenance.

1: Remove & clean your memory/ram.
2: Clean out the dust.

Clean the contacts with an pencil eraser & try it again. May need cleaning or reseating. If multi sticks, try just one stick to test. Touching an unpainted part of the case will dissipate any static electricity.

Do you have the auto-restart feature disabled? That will allow the blue screen to be displayed.

Other than that, you didn't provide any info about your computer. Could be a bad power supply, could be an overheating issue. Please post the make/model of your system or your complete system specs, & include the make/model/wattage of your power supply.
