my computer will shut down after a while without warning . what could be causing this?
i have a 4pin molex connector on my mobo but i do not have anything plugged into it. i tried plugging a 4 pin into it and it seemed to shut down faster. please help. i do no think this is cause of over heating because my cpu is very cool

What cpu do you have and what temperature is it at under idle ? That 4pin molex connector is probably for the cpu fan, which should be connected to the motherboard.

Maybe there was a power surge that could of done something to one of the capacitors within the PSU, I had that happen one time before.
