Computer restarts due to graphics card prob

Intel / G45 graphics card

Specs: Windows XP
I have a motherboard with intel integrated g45 graphics chipset. Whenever I try to use slide transitions in powerpoint, my computer restarts. When I disabled the graphics card, the computer did not restart (although the transitions were pretty slow).
I was having similar problems on linux. Also, I'm sure this is not a graphics driver problem, since I have the latest one.
And it is not a system crash either (I disabled "Auto restart on system crash", and it still restarted).
One more thing to note is that Unreal Tournament and CS 1.6 work fine, at normal speed, although some other graphical programs (like powerpoint) don't.
This problem started when I messed up Unreal Tournament's graphics settings, and it crashed.

Gma 4500mhd isn't a graphic card, the right name for it is igp.
Do u have v-card? If yes name it.
Try to reinstall video driver, ms office. Reset settings to default (unreal)
