I have my Dell Computer in a business, where the power needs to be turned off every night. When the power comes back on, the computer boots up and displays an error message config.sys, and the date and time are set back to xx.xx.2003 ? What is going on?

The motherboard battery is dead & will have to be replaced.

Thank you, I will try that, have to buy the batterie first of course... Would that also explain why the computer turns on when the power gets back on? Why will it only loose the config.sys info when it boots up without being turned on (power back) ??
