Lately my computer has been shutting off at random times. Usually it's while playing a game. My first thought was my graphics card was overheating, but I used to Rivatuner to monitor my GPU temps ingame, and they were fine. My next thought was the CPU was overheating, but I monitored that as well, and that too was fine. The only thing I can think of is that my GPU is under powered, but it hasn't been a problem for over a year now until recently. My system specs are below.
Biostar Nforce 520
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+
4GB Crucial Ballistix
Thermaltake PurePower 500w
XFX Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS
Creative X-fi Xtremegamer
1 250GB boot volume
3x750GB in RAID 0
DVD-RW driveI used a PSU calculator to calculate how much power I needed to run this hardware, and it said around 560w, but that doesn't make sense considering it has only been happening once in a while, and not until recently. My computer use has not changed.
Thanks,
Tony

Hi Tony,
A friend of mine is having similar issues with his PC. I don't know what your issues are but he hears a clikcing sound on his PC and then it shuts off. The clicking sound can be his hard drive. Do you hear clicking sounds before your PC shuts down?
