Computer randomly loses and regains power during startup

Specs: Windows 7, 12 GB Corsair DDR3-1600
I recently installed a new SSD onto my computer (OC Vertex 4 128gb) and installed Windows 7 64bit on it. I installed all the Windows updates and it has been working fine for the past 3 days up until tonight. Now whenever I try to boot, it hits the bios screen, and right when it is about to load the Windows Loading screen the computer loses power, then regains power within 3-5 seconds. I tried unplugging the new hard drive and doing a boot with the same results, so I don't believe that to be the problem. Any ideas what might be causing this? The computer itself was built by ibuypower roughly a year ago - specs below:

Intel® Core™ i7 960 Processor
12 GB [2 GB X6] DDR3-1600 - Corsair Ram
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Motherboard
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570
800W Power Supply

Any problems or "glitches" in electrical power (if that's what you are referring to) are usually caused by a faulty PSU so I would change that to start with (there's no way to test the PSU under load other than swapping it out with a new one unfortunately).
