Specs: Windows XP
recently i have built a computer, it turns on and the fans on the graphics card and processor work, but theres no output to the monitor, nor the keyboard or mouse, there is no beep from the speaker either, so im assuming it dosent get anywhere near to passing the post...i also removed the RAM and still no beeps, im thinking that it could possibly be the motherboard is damaged and i need a new one...
the motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R Intel X58 Express Socket 1366 Motherboard, any help...

You need to do a bench test.

I have done what was advised, all the fans again start up but no joy with the outputs to the keyboard, mouse or monitor, i know all 3 work because i have tried them on my mates computer...
It seems to be doing exactly what it did first time round.

Disconnect everything from the motherboard except the case wires. Remove the RAM, graphics card and any other cards.

Turn it on, and you should get error beeps for the missing RAM. If you don't, the problem has been narrowed down to the power supply or motherboard. Most likely the power supply. They fail more often than motherboards.

Don't be misled by the fact that you see some signs of power. The power supply has to supply several voltages, and just one missing or out of tolerance can cause your problem.
