Specs: windows 7 64 bit, core 2 duo 2.66 2gig ram
I will try to explain this as simply as possible so you can ujnderstand what happened
1) turned on computer this morning and noticed my keyboard wasnt working at all (no lights)
2) i tried replugging it in a few times but that did nothing
3) i decide to restart computer. The computer stayed at the shutting down screen (windows7) or 5 or 6 min so i get impatient and force a shutdown by holding down the power button
4) when i turned it back on there was so signal to the monitor, no pwr to keyboard OR mouse
5) i tried unplugging the pwr supply for a few min then starting but i get the same result

Can't get your problem exactly.. But still try this simple solution...
1. Plug out all the components of CPU and then Open the cabinet of your CPU
2. Remove the RAM... Just clean the pin area of the RAM... I mean the Part of RAM which gets inserted into the RAM slot...
3. Also do the same for other PCI cards such as Spectra Card, graphics card and all, if you are using any...
4. Close your CPU cabinet. Then plug-in all the other components and start your PC again...

Just try it out... May be this would solve your problem, If not, then it would neither harm any of your thing...
