When ever I try to burn a CD using Windows Media Player, the burning process will get about half way and then the computer itself will just drop dead.
This never happened before and I havn't gotten any new hardware. Could it be the pwr supply? Thanks for your input!

Try to burn another cd using a software program such as Nero and see if it does the same thing.

Make sure no other programs are running in background while you are burning.

It uses a lot of resources.

It sounds to me like a CD drive problem. Something in the drive could be shorting out when it gets to a certain spot on the CD.
