Computer Powers but no display

I held in the power button for 5 seconds to switch the computer off, then turned it back on but the screen wouldn't come back on. Everything seems to be fight, everything powers up except for the screen.
The graphics card is working fine, i've switched it out with the same result. What else could it be? Everything looks fine, perhaps the motherboard is fried? Or the PSU? RAM? any suggestions please
