I am trying to boot up my PC and the boot up cycle all of the sudden is not working. I have a 500watt pwr supply that I installed about a year ago. I have a Geforce (nVidia) 7000 graphics card installed as well. Sometimes the computer would shut down when I started up World of Warcraft.

Anyway my question is now I try and turn it on and seems like the pwr on is stuck in like cycle one of boot cycle (I dont know the cycles). The CPU cooling fan is running high but I am not getting a picture on my monitor telling me anything. Any suggestions?

Sorry for long post.

Saint

I can take a guess. You're saying the power comes on: You don not get a picture - do you mean no text, nada, as if there is absolutely no sign of life on the monitor when you have powered up? Can you go into PC setup and check your settings? Give lots of details.. Also, world of warcraft crashing can be caused by a out of date video driver - try downloading the latest driver for your video card, or check with the mfg's website for known program compatability problems.

Yea the monitor is not coming up AT ALL. If I can get the monitor to come on then I will update the driver on the video card. I push the power on the computer and the computer starts to act like it will come on but all it does is cycle into turning on the heatsink fan on the processor.

Makes me think its the processor thats over heated but I wasnt doing anything to overheat it. Not to mention its been a while so the processor should have cooled it if was.

Any other thoughts.
