You need to better explain your problem. When you try to start up what exactly happens? What error messages if any do you get? What are the system specifications? Is this a laptop or desktop system? Was it working previously? Did it suddenly crash or has there been a series of prior problems?

System is Windows XP. No previous issues with it - not laptop - unfortunately not too many clues as the system doesn't do anything. Control alt and delete come on screen as normal and when press same absolutely nothing happens. If I press the help button it just says press control alt and delete - so there is some life but beyond that nothing. I have tried unplugging all the cables, switching off system but no joy. Thanks for your reply - its a bit mind boggling.
