Computer not booting

I just ordered a Foxconn 748k7aa to replace and old asus a7m266 motherboard that some of the traces had been stripped on and after installing my videocard, memory, and processor on the board and trying to boot it the computer doesn't boot (atleast i don't think it does)and i just get a black screen with a flashing monitor light. Ifsomeone could pitch me some ideas as to what this might be i would appreciate it. I have tried resetting the videocard and the ram in their respective slots, but its a no-go.

Try reseating the processor, that was my problem.

I Tried that, i even tried to switch between 3 processors all of which are supposed to be compatible with the board.

Your ram may not be compatible with your new mboard. You can go to the web site of many major memory manufacturers and distributors and either look up which ram will work in your mboard, or they can scan your mboard and tell you which ram will work in it. If you have brand name ram, you can sometimes also use the identity string on it to look up which mboards it will work in.
