Computer no longer autoplay my CDs

why do i have to go into my computer to play my cd's it has only just happened

Have you installed any new drivers recently? I'd be inclined to open up the Device Manager and check that there isn't something wrong with the CD ROM.

Also, what kind of CDs are you trying to play? Are they personal CDs that you've burnt or commercial products?

It's pretty hard to say to be honest. Could even be the fact that the media isn't associated to a program to open it with. If it doesn't know what to use to open, it may just sit there.

they were playing last week, they are copies of craft cd's but i have been using them for a long time, even oriinal craft cd's i have to go into my computer to bring them up

Take a look at.....

Your original settings can get changed and auto run seems to stop working because of a newly installed program.

i changed my pc recently i had windows xp and when i changed to vista that is when all this trouble started i have nearly always had to go into my computer to play my craft cd's now they wont play at all
