Hi

I think this is a hardware problem but not sure, it may be software.. Anyway my computer keeps freezing. Seems to just do it randomly sometimes, and I can't move the mouse or press any keys and when I press caps lock the light on the keyboard doesn't even come on. When this happens, I can hear the fan in the computer going hard and it doesn't stop until I restart the computer.

I have reseated the heat-sink on the CPU, and run memtest86 for about 1.5 hours (4 passes, no errors) so not sure what else the problem is. Could my CPU have issues? It's been doing this for about a year (since I got it second-hand).

Thanks

maybe there is something installed on it that is incompatible with your computer. if it has been going on for a year maybe you should save your important files on a usb or something and format the computer...
