computer freezing

I just built my computer and it is constantly freezing. I only get about 2 mins to do something on the computer then it freezes. My specs are 2.4 celeron, 512 ddr333 ram, 16 mb video card,40gb hdd. Please help me!!!

hello are all jumpers and dip switches set corectly? in your bios make sure that your not over clocking cpu or ram.

Hey eric, he has a P4, not an AMD. I'd vote for memory. Do you have another stick you could try?

And also when i turn the computer on it dosent show anything on the monitor so i got to restart it like 10 times in order for it to show something. Its not the video card because when i try it on my other computer it works

Sounds like a psu problem to me. Try a higher wattage quality brand one.
