Comment: my computer freezes after around 15 to 20 mintues of working , Proceesor is Intel Celreon 1Ghz with 128 MB Ram, ASUS TUSI M/board. earlier it froze when working on MS word XP 2002 files while typing, but it worked fine on Notepad, even on internet it frozes at time , i have to reboot the computer to make it functional again One cause i think is dust which i intend to clear it in morning by blower second i think is Fan of Processor third i think the Mother boad is geeting old fourth i think is the Generic RAM

Reply: (edit)It sounds like you may have an overheating problem. The dust you mentioned can cause that, as can other things. I suggest you aboot into the BIOS screens and see if there are any entries showing the CPU temps. If so, you can install software that can monitor those temps while you work. You can run the sotware in the tray and see if the temps climb while you work. The monitoring software I use is called Motherboard Monitor. It is freeware.

Reply: (edit)I had similar problem. After stuggling for a few days I found that my PC SMPS power supply was the culprit. After changing the Power pack I dont have this problem anymore.
