Computer does not recognise USB drives front

Specs: Windows 7, 6GB
Front connection usb drves are not recognised. The used to, now not.Checkin with pc doctor (HP) system memory test, gets stuck at .WALKING ONE RIGHT TEST.

Use rear ports for keyboard and mouse only.
You can check the cable that goes from the front panel to the USB header on your motherboard and make sure it is firmly plugged in. If you have a second USB header you can try that one instead. If the wire or front jacks are bad then you can purchase a front USB add on panel with 2 or 4 new ports. The problem could be with the board itself though.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
