computer crashing randomly???

my computer keeps crashing and giving me horizontal tiles all over my screen, im using 512mb onboard video(256mb integrated, 256 shared). do you think its crashing because i have my 22" crt monitors refresh rate @144mhz and my oboared video cant handle it?

Why do you have the refresh rate so high?? Other than that, you're not providing enough enough.

If you try lowering the refresh rate to 60hz, that might prove informative.

Shut things down for a few minutes and try the 60Hz again. You were probably overheating the integrated chip. I didn't think any integrated chip could be set that high. Possible you could have even damaged the graphics chip.
Check system temps too.

Here there's a box where you can check "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display." This might be a good place to start, so that your PC stops trying to set the refresh on the monitor higher than it can handle.
