Hello, I was attaching a flopy drive to my machine andit hanged in the boot up process giving a floppy drive error. I restarted and ever since the system is not booting at all. All it does is give a long beeb with a short interval. Sometimes there is a short beeb alternating with the long beeb. I have tried removing the RAM, CMOS battery and all peripherals. But even the motherboard and processor as such are giving the same beeing error. Has somebody faced this problem before? Please help if you can. AM in emergency need. Thanking you in advance, JOSHUA.

Not exactly. I might have, but it now happens after I remove every single perpheral. You think my MB cud have got damaged or something. In all my life never seen a MB so heelbent on beeping. Usually it happens to be a RAM module error. The thing is my Video is in-built, so cant change that, other than that and the processor Ive removed everything. But all it does is give a long beeb the moment I power it on. Ellpp. (

Make sure the floppy cable is on correctly, (not backwards) and seated fully. I'm pretty sure this is where your problem is.

GUYS the beep is on even when no peripherals are attached. Infact only the processor is attached currently. And the beeping is wierd to say the least. There is one long beep and then one short beep and after that all long beeps. Cant find any such thing in awards website. Im thinkin to believe that this is the end of the machine.
