Specs: Microsoft Windows Vista , Sempron 3500+ / 1 GB DDR2
Hi! I've had a Compaq Presario v3415 LA for a year now, the machine has a Sempron 3500 processor, 80GB HDD and originally 512MB of RAM... and Windows Vista.
Needless to say the laptop was utterly sluggish with vista so I took it ti the place where I had bough it and bought more RAM to get to 1GB. The machine is much more responsive now but I think more RAM would be welcome for memory-hungry vista. I want to buy memory on my own but the problem is that HP-Compaq doesn't publish a memory compatibility list so all I have is the box where the upgrade module I bought came... Does anyone know if there is such list or I can only buy a module Identical to the one I bought? Will more RAM help vista considering the processor and HDD the laptop has?

Go here and use the system scanner; and yes, you do need more memory.
