Does anybody know how can I,if I can,of course, overclock my machine?
(e.x trying to do something about jumpers or something else, like changing defaults in my BIOS,CPU clock, but I can't see that stuffs?)

Yours will prolly have dip switches on the motherboard that will change the multiplier, and FSB.
I would research the processor you have on that machine. You need to know it's FSB in hrtz and it's recommended settings, and then go from there.
I would also search via google for a manual for your motherboard.

With all that said. I wouldn't mess with it. It's working. Right? Best to leave good enough alone. But if it's just something you are tinkering with and you want to learn, then the best way is to actually do it. But If it were my primary PC. I wouldn't mess with it at all.

It's old and may not be able to handle it.

Thanks for the insight!

But,how can I get into the board, with all that stuffs, screws, plastic covers?
There is some easier way, isn`t it!
Just kidding, right, but how can I change that recommended settings, when my BIOS is too old,I can`t see that in it.

The machine is Compaq lte 5280 with its power of 120MHz,32mb DRam,etc...,Intel mobile processor...

I understand that is an old machine, but why not try to do the best of it!It`s INTEL!:)

truthfully it will be a waste of time with a very very small gain and essentially no visual recognition of the gain...in other words you will not "see" a difference...that's my opinion

that's if there is any on-board adjustments to the fsb and multiplier and cpu voltage, even at that point you need to know what motherboard, cpu and memory you have

Abit AS8 LGA775 2.8 @ 3.15 Prescott
512 Corsair XMS PC3200 @ DDR450
128 meg Radeon 9800 Pro
DUAL 36 GIG WD Raptors

3+ Mbps cable connection

Can I change default processor on this machine with another one, maybe some with MMX support or some another that is on the upper level or clock of mine?

With a 120MHZ Compaq?? NO!
Truthfully..it is not easy to "see" the difference in a 200MHZ+ overclock (considering other factors)...

So to overclock a 120MHZ to a max of let's see....145MHZ (wishful thinking) it wouldn't be worth the sweat and time in my opinion.

Also, I wouldn't guess that any Compaq is overclockable especially a system that is so "vintage".

Good luck with your efforts however!
